SLEEP BETTER

BEDTIME will come daily. Ideally, when we step into the bedroom and put our head on the pillow, we want to sleep fast. We want that 8 hours of sleep so that upon awakening, we look and feel refreshed, revived and raring to take on the new day. How doe we get GOOD SLEEP?.

Sometimes life does take its own way. A crying baby or that extra work brought home to be finished or the late night(s) out, can also be very be draining on our sleep.strength and energy. . So, we need a guide to help us. Despite disruptions or delayed time to bed, we want to awaken as though we had a good eight hours sleep and rest.

WAKE UP TO LIGHT: Firstly, these days we have simulators that fill the room with natural light. Waking to light stops the production of sleep hormones, and gives a good kick-start to hormones that boosts moods, productivity and high energy levels.

ONE GOOD STRETCH: The second thing to do while still in bed is to do one good stretch. Even as you are lying in bed, stretch yourself to touch with your fingers and toes, both ends of the bed. Take a deep breath, exhale slowly and repeat thrice or up to five times.

PAMPER YOURSELF: A waft of Citrus oil will help clear your head and a drop or two of lemon grass will not only invigorate but awaken you fully. The market is full of shampoos and body scrubs incorporating a range of these aroma oils and scents.

VISUALISE SHOWER: Visualise yourself in the shower, warm water cascading down your back and the power of water washing away all of your weariness and filling you with energy all the way from the top of your body to your toes.

DO NOT FORGET: Use that face mask or refreshing gell that tightens and firms your face to look refresh and bright. Do refresh the tired eyes and attend to the puffy, baggy eyes. You have eye lifting gel and eye drops, to care for your eyes. Use the right preparations. Keep available at all times.

GROOM: Tidy the hair, brighten the eye lids, curl the lashes and gloss your lips.
FINALLY: A cup of steaming coffee definitely awakens and keeps you alert. A breakfast of muesli or porridge will bring to balance your blood sugars. Allowing blood sugars to dip immediately shows up as tiredness and drained.

Now, choose to stay busy. Being busy is less tiring, than having little or nothing to do.
